Toilet Birthday:October 30, 1991A very disturbing clogged toilet that I happened across at our local mexican restaurant. I am now hoping that the food does not also cause our toilet to look like this later, lol! It is also amazing that people just make a mess like this and then disappear.

Toilet Birthday:February 2, 2007When we arrived in Montreal for the Worldcon, we went from restaurant to bar to restaurant on some sort of strange food tour. This is the toilet from something I just recorded as "Pizza." If you're from Montreal and recognize this toilet, please let me know where I snapped it.

Toilet Birthday:October 8, 1974In Montreal for the 67th Worldcon in Montreal. This is the toilet in our room - 258 - at the Hyatt. I went through my toilet photos from the last Worldcon in Denver that are posted on this site. I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that my life is now a series of visits to the bathroom.

Toilet Birthday:August 6, 2009On the way to this year's Worldcon in Montreal, PQ. The rest stop was under construction so they built a makeshift trailer to house the restrooms and snacks. I was astounded at how nice the restrooms were... clean and with tanks! The snack trailer (a drink machine and a snack machine) was "run" by a young girl watching "Weeds" on DVD.

Toilet Birthday:January 1, 1983The toilet in the mens room at the Hoops sports bar in Toronto. This was one of the first bars I ever drank at in Toronto and, other than nicer TVs, it hasn't changed over the years. The wait staff is very friendly and, I suspect based on their reaction to my average tip, underpaid.

Toilet Birthday:August 25, 1991The toilet in the restroom at a gelato place in the distillery district of Toronto. I continue to be surprised at just how many businesses have toilet tanks in Toronto.

Toilet Birthday:July 9, 1981One of the toilets in the mens room of Mick E. Fynn's (the other did not have a date). I went to this bar while I attended Ryerson University (albeit in a different location) and continue to go when I come home to visit my parents (who live upstairs). It's been 21 months since I last visited but when I walked in, the same two people were seated at the bar.

Toilet Birthday:March 18, 1980Another one of the toilets at the Spaghetti Factory during my birthday celebration. It was when I went back for this shot that I realized the restaurant shares their restrooms with a pub called Scotland Yard. I had the spaghetti and tomato sauce for dinner.

Toilet Birthday:January 1, 1983I went to The Spaghetti Factory for my birthday, where we were given the "Mafia booth." This is not actually a New Year's toilet but the month and date were rubbed off, leaving just the '83.' I was surprised to see so many toilets with tanks at a restaurant.

Toilet Birthday:January 27, 1991The upstairs toilet at my friends' house. I only wish I could show you how AMAZING their home is. Easily the most interesting and best decorated house I've ever been in, including a birch tree teapot and a glass statue of a glass spilling water.
