Toilet Birthday:January 1, 1980This is the toilet in the mens room at Totonno's an Italian restaurant on the UES of New York City. I'm not entirely sure, but this might be the first New Year's toilet I've found.

Toilet Birthday:September 16, 1986This toilet was found in the mens room at the Mad River Bar & Grille on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The security at this place is crazy. I was frisked when I walked in and another dude watched me while I was in the bathroom. It's my understanding they both actually worked at the place.

Toilet Birthday:September 24, 1996The toilet in the ladies room at the 3 Decker restaurant on the UES. I originally tried the mens room but the toilet didn't have a visible date stamped in its tank. Also, a crotchety old man at a nearby table was sick of me "hogging the GD space heater."

Toilet Birthday:November 2, 2002The toilet in the ladies room at P.J. Clarke's. This restroom has a delightfully old fashioned triangle sink.

Toilet Birthday:February 7, 2005One of the toilets found in the mens room at P.J. Clarke's. The other stall's toilet didn't have a date. The best part about the restroom was the ol' timey western swinging doors on the stalls.

Toilet Birthday:May 20, 1978I was inspired by Marilyn's salon toilet, so here's mine! Top Nail just outside my apartment on 65th Street. Kim is great!

Toilet Birthday:February 28, 1997This is the toilet in the restroom at Nails N More on the UWS of Manhattan. It's a very friendly place that does great work and I just loved the pink Hello Kitty soap dispenser!

Toilet Birthday:May 7, 2008A toilet in the mens room at The East End Bar & Grill, yet another bar on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The photo was a few hours after the NY Giants were eliminated from the playoffs, so the bar was full of sad, drunk people in blue jerseys. However, I have it on good authority that the bar's clientele is almost always sad, drunk people in blue jerseys. I also have no reason for why the toilet seat is slightly askew.

Toilet Birthday:September 1, 2005The toilet at the Heidelberg Restaurant on the UES. It's a fun German restaurant currently hidden away by scaffolding. They offer glass boots (like in the movie Beerfest!) and almost identical stall graffiti as the toilet at Rolf's (another German restaurant in NYC).

Toilet Birthday:April 19, 2006A mighty fine toilet. It has a nice little germ-knob on the top that you have to pull to make everything go bye-bye. Nice.
